Safepine builds research, simulation, and system-design software. All Safepine systems are offline-first and simulation-only. Safepine is software, not finance.
Safepine does not manage money. Safepine does not give financial advice. Safepine does not connect to brokerage accounts. Safepine does not execute trades.
Safepine is a controlled software environment for working with data and models in an offline, simulation-only context. It does not operate as a financial institution, broker, adviser, or service provider.
“Safepine” (“Safepine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a software brand and trade name used in connection with software development and licensing activities based in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, U.S.A. Safepine develops and licenses locally installed, offline-first software for research, simulation, data analysis, and general systems design. Safepine is not a bank, broker, investment adviser, or other financial institution.
The software and related materials are intended for general-purpose analytical and educational use. They are not designed or marketed as tools for providing individualized investment services or for operating a live trading business.
Safepine’s products are local tools for research, simulation, and data exploration. They may, among other things, allow users to load datasets, construct models, and run simulations on their own machines.
Safepine’s products are not: trading bots, signal services, portfolio management systems, execution engines, or account-linked software. Safepine software is designed to operate in a simulation-only environment and does not natively connect to brokerage APIs, access financial accounts, or route or execute orders.
If a user chooses, on their own initiative, to connect separate infrastructure to live financial markets or to rely on outcomes of simulations in making financial decisions, that activity is outside the scope of the Services and remains solely the user’s responsibility.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) constitute a binding agreement between you and Safepine. By accessing our websites (including safepine.co), downloading or installing any Safepine software, or otherwise using any Safepine product (collectively, the “Services”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
You may be required to create an account and provide a username, email address, and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Safepine immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
Your right to use the Services arises from:
(a) a limited, non-exclusive, revocable permission to access and use the safepine.co website and related online materials for your own internal purposes; and (b) the specific software license terms that apply to each Safepine codebase or binary you choose to use.
In particular, the source code for Safepine Core and related projects is made available under the license or licenses stated in the LICENSE or similar files in the corresponding source code repositories (which may include open-source or commercial terms). Proprietary builds, installers, or distributions of Safepine Studio, Safepine Kernel, or other products may be subject to separate end-user license agreements presented at download, purchase, or installation.
Any payments you make to Safepine are solely for access to software licenses, documentation, or related support and never for investment performance, returns, or other financial outcomes.
To the extent there is any conflict between these Terms (including Section 14) and a written software license or end-user license agreement that accompanies a particular codebase or distribution, the specific license agreement for that codebase or distribution will govern your rights to use that software and any related warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability. These Terms do not expand any license rights granted in those separate documents.
The Services, including all software outputs, examples, documentation, articles, communications, and other content, are provided for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing in the Services is intended to, and shall not be construed to, constitute: (a) investment, trading, financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice; (b) a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any security, derivative, commodity, or other financial instrument; or (c) the provision of personalized investment advice or financial planning services.
Safepine is not registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, any state securities regulator, or any foreign regulatory authority in any advisory, brokerage, or similar capacity. Safepine does not manage assets, does not monitor user positions or accounts, and does not act as an agent or fiduciary for any user.
You are solely responsible for evaluating any information obtained through the Services and for all decisions you make. You should consult with a qualified financial professional before making any investment or trading decisions.
The Services may allow users to run simulations or models, including models applied to historical or synthetic data. Any performance figures, projections, or other numerical outputs generated by the software are hypothetical in nature, may differ materially from actual results, and are provided solely for illustrative and analytical purposes.
All markets and investments involve risk, including the possible loss of principal. Past performance, whether actual or simulated, is not indicative of future results. You acknowledge and agree that Safepine has no obligation to update any information or outputs and that Safepine does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any data or results produced by the Services.
You assume all risks associated with your use of the Services, including any decision to interpret or act upon simulated or analytical outputs.
Safepine maintains internal product boundaries intended to ensure that the Services remain within the scope described in these Terms. As part of this, Safepine reserves the right not to develop, release, or continue to support any feature where, in Safepine’s reasonable judgment, that feature could likely be interpreted as: (a) Safepine managing money or providing individualized financial advice; (b) Safepine engaging in order routing or trade execution; or (c) Safepine marketing or operating a trading, signal, or portfolio-management service.
Safepine may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time if Safepine determines that such action is appropriate for legal, regulatory, security, or policy reasons, or to maintain the character of the Services as described in these Terms.
As an internal rule, if we are not confident that a proposed feature clearly stays within these boundaries—if the answer to any such question is “maybe”—that feature does not ship.
Safepine’s internal design principles emphasize conservative product scope, clear separation from regulated financial activities, and a preference for simple, local, simulation-oriented tools. These principles are informational in nature and do not create separate contractual obligations, but they inform how Safepine evaluates and operates the Services.
Safepine does not chase investors, hype cycles, or regulatory gray zones.
Safepine aims to collect and retain as little personal data as possible. The current publicly-available build of the Services is a demonstration environment that allows you to experiment with local research and simulation tools.
If you choose to create a demo account, any username, email address, or password you enter is used only to operate that demo experience. These values may be stored temporarily while the demo server is running and are routinely deleted when the server is updated, reset, or redeployed. Safepine does not use demo account data for marketing, profiling, or advertising.
Safepine does not request or store your brokerage account numbers, brokerage login credentials, portfolio holdings, or trade history. Any such information you maintain or use in connection with the Services remains on your own systems or with third-party providers you select.
Because the Services are for demonstration and research purposes only, you should not reuse passwords from other services or sensitive accounts when creating a demo login.
If you create a demo account or log in, we may temporarily process the following information:
| Data type | When processed | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Username | Demo sign-up, login | Simulated account experience and access control within the demo | Deleted when the demo server is updated, reset, or redeployed |
| Email address (optional) | Demo sign-up | Optional identifier within the demo interface | Deleted when the demo server is updated, reset, or redeployed |
| Password (stored in hashed form) | Demo sign-up, login | Demo authentication only | Deleted when the demo server is updated, reset, or redeployed |
We may also process limited technical information (such as IP address, basic request headers, and error logs) as part of normal server operations. This information is used solely for security, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics and is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the demo data we process, including the use of hashed passwords and access controls. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you acknowledge this risk by using the Services.
Safepine does not sell personal data and does not share demo usernames, emails, or passwords with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Limited technical information (such as IP addresses and server logs) may be processed by infrastructure providers that host or secure the Services, solely to operate and protect the demo environment. These providers are subject to confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is required or appropriate to: (a) comply with applicable law or legal process; (b) respond to lawful requests from public authorities; or (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of Safepine, our users, or the public.
The Services are not intended for and may not be used by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.
If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand and agree that your limited account data (such as username, email address, and technical logs) may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than those in your country of residence.
Depending on your country or state of residence, you may have legal rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and the right to restrict or object to certain processing activities.
You may exercise these rights by contacting us at contact@safepine.co. We may request additional information if needed to verify your identity and to help us respond to your request.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to operate the demo environment and to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymized in a reasonable and secure manner. Safepine does not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Services will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safepine, together with its owner, employees, and contractors, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Services, even if Safepine has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Safepine’s total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Safepine for the applicable software license in the twelve-month period preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. Your continued use of the Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
If you have questions regarding these Terms, our product boundaries, or our privacy practices, please contact us at contact@safepine.co.
